gulangxianIntroduction:Introduction to Gulang: Gulang County belongs to Wuwei City, Gansu Province, in the central part of Gansu Province, the eastern end of the Hexi Corridor, the northern foot of Wushaoling, and the southern edge of the Tengger Desert. It is connected to Jingtai County in the east, Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in the south, close to Liangzhou District in the northwest, and Alashan Zuoqi in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The county is about 102 kilometers long from east to west, and about 88 kilometers wide and 5,103 square kilometers wide from north to south. As of 2011, Gulang County has jurisdiction over 9 towns, 10 townships and 1 street. There are 250 villages and 1934 villager groups, with 388,943 people, including Han, Hui, Tibetan, Mongolian, Miao, Manchu and Dongxiang. Ten ethnic groups including Tu, Maonan and Yao. In 2011, Gulang County realized a regional GDP (GDP) of 284.129 million yuan, which was 11.8% higher than that of 2010 at comparable prices.
